About Us

Fisher London, a traditional antiques shop in the heart of Bloomsbury, was founded in 2015 by Hilary Fisher.

After graduating with a history degree from the LSE, Hilary worked as an antiques dealer and researcher in the City of London for over twenty years before undertaking an MA in Decorative Arts and Historic Interiors at Birkbeck, University of London.  Based at The Wallace Collection and the V & A, she studied both the History of Collecting and the cultural connections between European nations with a particular emphasis on how their artistic output was shaped, through trade and travel, by imports from Asia and the Far East.

Hilary opened her own antiques shop, exhibition and events venue in Gray’s Inn Road in 2015 and happily traded there for 10 years before relocating in October 2024 to new premises at 7 Rugby Street, Bloomsbury. In 2024, Fisher London was elected to The British Antique Dealers' Association.

Hilary continues to explore both the decorative and academic appeal of fine quality antiques from around the globe. Here at Fisher London, you will find English furniture, Georgian glass, ceramics, antiquities, Regency watercolours, textiles, ethnographica, treen, metalware and all manner of objects of social and historical interest; there is always something to appeal to the curious and those who appreciate beautiful things with an interesting story.
