Code: FL4660
Dimensions:
A provincial George III period chest of drawers of fine quality and sophisticated form in mahogany of lovely original, subtly faded colour now with a warm patina. The two over three drawers retain their original neo-classical handles and escutcheons and are flanked by fluted columns. The chest, of lovely proportion is raised on decorative bracket feet. Origin: North of England. Circa 1770.
N.B. The style of this chest of drawers bears a resemblance to some clock cases of the period and was probably made by a cabinet maker who also specialised in clock cabinets.
