An early 20th century decommissioned museum exhibit comprising a quantity of Egyptian barley in a small oak display case with glass top and sides. The case is fitted with a self-explanatory label reading: 'Barley from Ancient Egyptian Tomb (Theban Necropolis Near Luxor) - XVIIIth Dynasty - Approx 1400-1350 BC.  A fascinating and quirky item of Ancient Egyptian History.
