A charming, Georgian, original Grand Tour watercolour of a garden scene in Italy (possibly Rome): 'Fountain and Rock in a niche - Marble Venus on a basin'. The painting, within a bird's eye maple frame, retains a label to the reverse describing the image with the annotation 'Exceedingly pretty'. Dated December 22nd, 1830.
