A restrained Georgian stool in mahogany with subtle astragal moulding to the leading edges.  The stool, with 'H'-stretcher for stability, has been reupholstered and covered in a fine quality velvet striped fabric.  An elegant and practical furnishing piece.  Circa 1790.
