Dimensions:
A charming 18th century Windsor chair in beautiful yew wood with elm seat. The chair has a particularly unusual back splat with shield motif. The four turned legs are united by a crinoline stretcher. English. Circa 1780.
Condition: the legs have been 'tipped' - i.e. a few centimetres added to the bottom. The repairs are imperceptible except on close inspection. This is a common feature on country chairs due to the washing down of stone floors.
