A rare and exquisite mid 17th century Genroku Japanese blue and white plate with beautiful floral composition and flying insect surrounded by an unusual stylised border. Origin: Arita, Japan. Interestingly, the underside retains traces of the grit where the plate was fired in the kiln. Circa 1660.
