 A decorative mid 19th century Tunbridgeware box in rosewood featuring a striking trompe l'oeil of 'tumbling block' or perspective cube design surrounded by an inlaid micromosaic border echoed around the body of the box.  The lid lifts open to reveal a compartmented interior lined with attractive patterned blue lining paper. A useful and appealing box remaining in excellent condition.  Circa 1860.
