19th c. olive wood box with brass bandings

Dimensions:

A fine quality, mid 19th century jewellery or keepsake box in olivewood of lovely golden colour delineated with brass bandings; the centre of the lid featuring an oval brass roundel.  The lid lifts on a full length hinge to reveal the interior which has been lined with a smart dark green velvet.  The box, raised on the four original bun feet, remains in excellent condition.  Circa 1840-60.
